I want to extend my sincere condolences to the family and friends of two Blue Mountains residents who have died as a result of Covid-19

NSW Health announced on September 25 that a man in his 70s had passed away, while a second man in his 90s died earlier this month.

The younger man was a resident at the Uniting Springwood Residential Aged Care Facility. The facility has advised residents and their families that the virus was contracted outside the aged care home.

In early September, a Blue Mountains resident living in the Hawkesbury Living Aged Care home passed away after contracting Covid-19.

I have no doubt that the sympathies of the wider community are with the grieving families and friends at this time.
