Today I am delighted to announce that 10 Blue Mountains schools will benefit from a share of $32 million in grants to upgrade schools and equipment.
The schools were able to apply for up to $25,000 to support much needed improvements to facilities and learning environments.
The following Blue Mountains schools will benefit from funding:
Katoomba High School will do improvements to outdoor learning spaces, add shade structures and to refurbish classrooms.
Springwood High School, Blackheath Public School, Winmalee High School and St Thomas Aquinas Primary School will upgrade their outdoor learning spaces.
Lawson Public School will install new air-conditioning.
St Canice’s Primary School at Katoomba, Our Lady of the Nativity Primary School at Lawson and Blackheath’s Mountains Christian College will do classroom refurbishments, while Korowal’s funding will go towards outdoor learning spaces, upgrading laptops and tablets, and repairs to school facilities.
