HAWKESBURY LEFT OUT OF DISASTER RELIEF PACKAGE

Federal Member for Macquarie, Susan Templeman, has questioned why Hawkesbury residents and business affected by the Gospers Mountain fire, are not included in the relief package announced by the Federal and State government yesterday.

“We have had two homes lost and dozens of farmers and businesses have been affected already around Colo Heights and Webbs Creek, as well as those out towards Lithgow and further up the Putty Road,” Ms Templeman said.

“Thank goodness we haven’t seen the scale of loss in northern NSW, but there are cattle producers without fences, hectares of improved land now desolate, and self-employed people who’ve had to put eve
