HAWKESBURY SCHOOLS TO RECEIVE FUNDING FOR SCHOOL UPGRADES AND NEW EQUIPMENT

04 May 2023

Today I am delighted to announce that 6 Hawkesbury schools will benefit from a share of $32 million in grants to upgrade schools and equipment.

The schools were able to apply for up to $25,000 to support much needed improvements to facilities and learning environments.

The following Hawkesbury schools will benefit from funding:

Windsor South Public School, Glossodia Public School and St Matthew’s Primary School will upgrade their outdoor learning spaces.

Richmond High School will do improvements to outdoor learning spaces and add shade structures.

Bede Polding will refurbish classrooms and Chisholm Catholic Primary School will use the funding to install shade structures.

The $400,000 investment in schools in Macquarie is part of a $250 million national commitment to improve school infrastructure.

All schools across the country were invited to apply for the funding and projects were assessed by the Department of Education and selected based on need.

The Albanese Labor Government is delivering on our promise to invest in our schools and there is more to come.
