Member for Macquarie Susan Templeman this week (Monday) opened the new Arts and Technology Centre at Kindlehill School which will improve student educational outcomes.
Ms Templeman said work on the development projects was delivered with support of Australian Government funding of $500,000 through the Capital Grants Program.
“A lot of work has gone into this project which has delivered the construction of a large art room, two small tutorial rooms and a technology workshop” Ms Templeman said.
“They are beautifully designed and practical spaces that will provide school staff, teachers and students, particularly high school students, at Kindlehill School with better, more modern rooms in which to work, teach and learn.
“The Australian Government is committed to providing all schools with appropriate funding so that all students, including those in Kindlehill School, Wentworth Falls, get the best possible education.”
Ms Templeman said the new facilities would benefit the students currently at Kindlehill School, as well as the many students who will follow in future years.
“The teachers, staff, parents and students at Kindlehill School have built a strong and positive school community and these new facilities will further enhance our local educational opportunities,” Ms Templeman said.
“Our Government strongly believes in providing the best possible resources so that local students can realise their potential and develop the skills they need to go on to further study or to find a job.”
