New facilities for staff and students at Kindlehill School
Kindlehill School’s refurbishment of two primary classrooms, upgraded student amenities, and an all-weather learning space was today officially opened by Federal Member for Macquarie, Susan Templeman.
Ms Templeman said work on the new facilities was delivered with support of the Albanese Government’s funding of $300,000 through the Capital Grants Program.
She also acknowledged Kindlehill School’s significant financial contribution to the works, with more than half of the entire project cost met by the school.
“These new facilities will provide school staff, teachers and students at Kindlehill School with better, more modern spaces in which to work, teach and learn,” Ms Templeman said.
“The Albanese Government is committed to providing all schools with appropriate funding so that all students, including those in Kindlehill School, get the best possible education.”
Ms Templeman said the new facilities would benefit the students currently at Kindlehill School, as well as the many students to follow in future years.
“The teachers, staff and students at Kindlehill School have built a strong and positive school community and these new facilities will further enhance our local educational opportunities,” Ms Templeman said.
“Our Government strongly believes in providing the best possible resources so that local students can realise their potential and develop the skills they need to go on to further study or join the workforce.”
Kindlehill School Principal, Ms Erica Chaperlin, said “The enhancement of our learning spaces, which strengthen our connection to the environment through thoughtful, energy-efficient design and abundant natural light, would not have been possible without this federal funding. It represents the realisation of a long-held dream and vision for the School.”
