Hobartville Public School students have been enjoying a new sensory playground thanks to funding secured by Federal Member for Macquarie, Susan Templeman.

The school received more than $16,400 for the construction of a themed sensory playground – titled Hobartville Project Wellness - which was completed earlier this year.

“I’ve seen the before and after pictures, and I am delighted to say what was once a somewhat drab section of the school playground is now a colourful, comfortable place to play,” Ms Templeman said.

“In fact, the grant goes some way to fulfilling an election promise I made, after visiting the school with the Shadow Education Minister Tanya Plibersek.
