$1.2 MILLION INVESTMENT IN MOUNTAINS’ PARKS

An Albanese Labor Government will improve key facilities at Blue Mountains parks, creating modern and accessible facilities for the local community.

Today, Ms. Templeman was joined by Deputy Leader of the Australian Labor Party, Richard Marles to announce this $1.2 million commitment for these key upgrades.

An Albanese Labor Government would invest:

  • $1 million for Mount Victoria Memorial Park
  • $100,000 for Glenbrook Dog Park 
  • $100,000 for Leura Dog Park 

Mr Marles said, “Susan has been listening to the community here in the Blue Mountains, she wants people here to have access to quality parks, which are modern and accessible.

“Susan has been fighting for the people in of the Blue Mountains in Canberra.

“Be it the bushfires or the floods, or key local upgrades likes this, Susan knows how important these investments in the community are.”

Ms Templeman said, “With the cost of living going up and up, and people spending so much time at home due to COVID, it’s never been more important to have quality, accessible parks close to home.

“And with the price of petrol so high, people do want recreation options close to home.
