After nine long years of cuts and neglect under the Liberals and Nationals, the Albanese Labor Government is making Medicare stronger for all Australians.
We’ve opened 87 Medicare Urgent Care Clinics across Australia, and more than a million patients have visited them to access free bulk-billed medical care.
I’ve listened to Hawkesbury families who know it’s harder and more expensive to see a doctor out of hours following the closure of the After Hours GP Clinic at Hawkesbury Hospital, under the Liberal’s watch.
When it’s urgent, people want better and cheaper access to a GP close to home and want to ease the pressure on our hardworking emergency department at Hawkesbury Hospital.
An Urgent Care Clinic solves those problems:
- Open for extended hours, including weekends
- No appointment necessary
- Services are fully bulk-billed with no out of pocket cost for patients
- Provide medical care in urgent, but not life-threatening, situations.
That’s why I’m calling on the Federal Government to open a Medicare Urgent Care Clinic in the Hawkesbury.
I need your help to make this happen.
Sign the petition and tell the Federal Government how a Medicare UCC in the Hawkesbury will help your family. Just a few short sentences will make all the difference.
